We are seeking a Senior Area Sales Manager to join our team and drive our business to new heights.

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to lead and expand our business across Kolkata. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B sales management within the beverage industry and a deep understanding of the Indian market. This role will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with distributors, developing sales strategies, and achieving revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive business growth, market share, and profitability in line with company objectives.

Sales Channel Management: Manage and expand our network of distributors and partners across various regions in Kolkata. Identify and onboard new distributors as needed.

Sales Target Achievement: Set and achieve sales targets and objectives, monitor performance, and take corrective actions as necessary to ensure goals are met or exceeded.

Market Analysis: Continuously monitor market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive activities to identify opportunities and threats. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management.

Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure the team's success.

Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key wholesale customers, addressing their needs and concerns promptly to enhance customer loyalty.

Inventory Management: Collaborate with the supply chain and production teams to ensure optimal inventory levels to meet demand and minimize stockouts.

Reporting: Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management, providing insights into market performance and opportunities for improvement.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies within the wholesale sales function.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience in sales management within the FMCG industry, with a minimum of 5 to 8 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated track record of sales achievement in a hands-on sales environment.
  • Ability to establish good relationships and credibility with customers and wholesalers; ability to collaborate at all levels.
  • Proven knowledge of Wholesalers, distributors and retail customers.
  • Having proper territorial knowledge of the state of Bengal.
  • Strong understanding of the Indian beverage market, including regional dynamics.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to travel as required to meet with distributors and customers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and sales software.
