Area Manager Sales - New Materials Business


- Plan and implement sales strategies and conduct sales forecast.


- Meet with existing and potential customers to understand their need, secure orders, and service them on an ongoing basis.


- Actively follow up with debtors and ensure the same gets collected within the due time.


- Have thorough understanding and familiarity with a variety of the target market segments' key players, business practices and procedures, and buying trends.


- Prepare quotations/proposals for customers and follow up.


- Actively handle customer inquiries and consult with the concerned departments if necessary.


- Responsible for liaising with the production department on the inventory and production planning.


Responsibilities:

- Implement sales objectives by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue, and expense control.

- Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual planned sales goals.

- Implement national sales programs by developing field sales action plans.

- Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping in mind supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.

- Track manufacturing, supply, and erection wherever applicable and take appropriate actions for improvement. Ensure the invoices are raised on time and debtors are being monitored for collection within the due time.

- Meet existing customers to generate enquiry and service their requirements.

- Meet potential customers and develop them as regular buyers of our products.

- Interact with the manufacturer for quotations, prepare proposals and follow up with customers at all levels of the sales cycle and follow up for payments.

- Track sales goals, preparing MIS and report results on an ongoing basis.

- Co-ordinate with all cross functional teams within and outside of our department to generate synergy, build efficiency and replicate success.

- Visit manufacturing unit as necessary to gain technical knowledge, understand production cycle, inventory control, delivery schedules, testing processes, new product development for effective management of sales and service delivery to the customers.

- Attend customer service issues and requirements and deliver prompt actions to minimise customer discontent and maximise customer satisfaction.
